Tanzania Mandates Electronic Health Form and Screening for Travelers Due to Ebola
Tanzania has required incoming travelers to fill out an electronic health form and retain a QR code, alongside temperature screening and daily monitoring for some for 21 days due to Ebola concerns.

The Tanzanian Ministry of Health issued Travel Advisory No. 18, signed by Permanent Secretary Grace Magembe, following an Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and a recent case recorded in Kenya involving a traveler arriving from the Congo, as reported by CGTN.
The advisory requires all incoming travelers to fill out an electronic health surveillance form prior to departure or upon arrival, while retaining a QR code or reference number throughout the trip.
Screening procedures, including temperature checks, are being implemented at airports, land crossings, and seaports to monitor incoming arrivals.
Travelers categorized as high-risk will undergo daily monitoring for 21 days, even after leaving the country, in a measure aimed at detecting any potential infection early.
What do these terms mean?
Health Surveillance: Procedures to track travelers' health status for early detection of infectious diseases upon entering the country and thereafter.
QR Code: A square code readable by phone, used to verify that a traveler has completed the required health procedures.
Ebola: An infectious viral disease for which international health warnings were issued following outbreaks in parts of Africa.
