Ukrainian Drones Set Fire to Oil Terminal in St. Petersburg

Russian authorities said Ukrainian FP-1 drones targeted the Petersburg Oil Terminal, the Ruchey oil depot, and a data center belonging to VK in the early hours of October 18.

St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov reported that no casualties were recorded, though he said civilian infrastructure caught fire in several districts.

Media outlets reported that Pulkovo Airport reduced operations due to the attack, while data showed the annual capacity of the Petersburg terminal is around 12.5 million tons.

The strikes target energy and data infrastructure in Russia, disrupting export and operational activities in the region and adding pressure to shipping routes in the Baltic Sea.
