Scimplify Raises $25 Million to Challenge China's Dominance in Critical Materials
India's Scimplify raised $25 million in a strategic round led by Hitachi Ventures, bringing its total funding to $80 million.

India-based Scimplify, headquartered in Bengaluru, raised an all-equity $25 million strategic round, bringing its total equity funding to $80 million at an estimated post-money valuation of $250 million, according to TechCrunch.
The round was led by Hitachi Ventures, with company clients Henkel and Teknor Apex joining as new investors, combining industrial capital and commercial demand in the same round.
Scimplify uses artificial intelligence to produce specialty chemicals and critical materials used in semiconductors, defense, and energy, helping its customers find alternative sources outside of China.
The funding comes at a time when governments and companies are moving to secure alternative supply chains for materials deemed critical, giving companies capable of manufacturing them outside China a competitive advantage.
