Gargash Prime and Jingdong Sign Agreement for Logistics Center in Dubai

Gargash Prime has signed a memorandum of understanding with Jingdong Property, the infrastructure investment and asset management arm of Chinese group JD.com, to develop a logistics facility in Dubai, according to Zawya citing the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The two parties plan to develop 2.5 million square feet (about 250,000 square meters) of land, with the project serving as a regional distribution and delivery hub serving supply chains in the Middle East.

The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the Dubai Business Forum in Shenzhen, China, at a time when Chinese companies are expanding their logistics presence in the region.

The project represents the addition of new storage and transportation capacity in Dubai, which is important for merchants and companies relying on shipping speed and lower distribution costs within the region.
