Shein Pays $100 Million to Settle US Trade Investigation
Shein has agreed to pay $100 million to settle a US investigation into delivery delays and customer complaints, according to a source familiar with the matter cited by Reuters.

Fast-fashion company Shein has agreed to pay $100 million to settle an investigation by the US Federal Trade Commission into delivery delays and other customer complaints, Reuters reported, citing a source with direct knowledge of the matter.
Reuters said the settlement amount is equivalent to about 44% of the company's second-quarter profits, and that Shein confirmed in a statement it reached a constructive outcome with the agency and will share more information soon, while an FTC spokesperson declined to comment.
FTC records reviewed by Reuters showed that consumers filed more than 12,000 complaints regarding purchases exceeding $11 million between January 2020 and June 2026, with some relating to shipping and non-receipt of packages marked as delivered by the company.
Shein had warned in disclosures last July related to its Hong Kong listing that the US probe could lead to significant fines, coming amid European and US restrictions that have slowed the company's growth and raised its product prices.
