Minister of Investment Follows Up on Qatari Diar's Two Projects in Egypt
Investment Minister Mohamed Farid reviewed updates on the Alam El Roum project on the North Coast and Citygate in New Cairo during the opening of Cityscape Qatar 2026.
Dr. Mohamed Farid, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, participated in the opening of the Cityscape Qatar 2026 exhibition at the invitation of Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiyah, Qatari Minister of Municipality, in the presence of Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Finance, and Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi, Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, alongside officials and representatives of real estate companies and investment institutions.
During his tour of the exhibition, the minister reviewed a number of real estate and urban development projects, and discussed opportunities to enhance cooperation in developing investment and tourism projects to support the economic partnership between Egypt and Qatar and open new horizons for joint investments.
Farid followed up on the execution updates of the Alam El Roum project on the North Coast and the Citygate project in New Cairo, affiliated with Qatari Diar, as part of monitoring the developments of Qatari investments in the Egyptian market, particularly in the urban development and tourism sectors.
The minister emphasized the importance of continued coordination between government entities and investors to follow up on the implementation of existing projects and streamline related procedures, thereby supporting rapid execution and boosting the attractiveness of the Egyptian market for new investments. He noted that strengthening communication between the Egyptian and Qatari sides is an important pillar for driving economic and investment cooperation and expanding areas of partnership to achieve the mutual interests of both countries.
