Instagram Tests 90-Minute Videos and Microdramas
Instagram is testing landscape videos up to 90 minutes long for tens of thousands of creators in the US, and is beginning a trial for short series in three countries.

Instagram announced an expansion into long-form content within its app, as it began testing landscape videos up to 90 minutes long. The pilot test includes tens of thousands of creators in the United States.
In the same context, the platform is testing an episodic microdrama format with a select group of creators in the United States, Mexico, and India, in an effort to attract an audience that consumes stories in installments.
Instagram has also redesigned its Live feature so that broadcasts appear to users who do not follow the account, placing them inside the Reels tab to expand opportunities for reaching new audiences.
The company is bringing the viewing experience to the big screen via the Instagram TV app launching on Apple TV in the United States, making content available beyond mobile phones.
