Unconventional AI has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Israel's NeuReality, which specializes in AI inference chips, according to an announcement published by the company on its blog.

The two companies did not disclose the value of the deal, but the announcement stated that NeuReality CEO Moshe Tanach and the engineering team will join Unconventional following the close.

Unconventional confirmed that it intends to maintain its engineering presence in Israel, and the deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026.

The transaction aims to accelerate Unconventional's transition from the development phase to actual production systems, as the company requires custom-designed chips to run its models with higher efficiency and lower cost.

What Do These Terms Mean?

Inference: The phase of running an AI model to respond to a request or complete a task, which is the stage where the model consumes compute capacity.

Inference Chip: A processor designed to run AI models with higher efficiency during the inference phase, rather than relying on general-purpose processors.

Definitive Agreement: A binding document that sets out the terms of a deal, though its completion may remain subject to subsequent approvals and conditions.
