TikTok Showcases AI Tools for Advertising Industry in Seoul

On October 20, TikTok held the "TikTok Summit Korea 2026" event in Seoul, attended by approximately 500 representatives from brands and advertising agencies, to showcase its AI-powered advertising tools and methods for collaborating with creators.

The company showcased its "TikTok Symphony" solution for producing advertising materials using AI, and the "Seedance 2.5" video generation model, alongside the "GPS" framework—which begins by monitoring community trends, testing ad materials, and scaling the most suitable ones—as well as an agent-based architecture for automating campaign management.

TikTok relied on data from Sensor Tower, which estimated the platform's global average daily usage at approximately 93 minutes, the highest among the measured advertising platforms. It noted that advertising growth in Korea between the first and third quarters reached 1.8 times the industry average, pointing out that these are platform indicators rather than a measurement of a specific brand's performance.

In a session on collaborating with creators, it reviewed a campaign launched on September 18 featuring creators Sseny, Heebab, and Syuka, which recorded 35.9 million views and nearly 93,000 likes. No figures were announced regarding purchase conversions or sales, which are indicators distinct from content views and engagement.

What Do These Terms Mean?

Video Generation Model: An AI program that produces video clips from text descriptions or images, used in the advertising industry to reduce production cost and time.

Full Funnel: A strategy connecting the stages of the customer journey from brand awareness to purchase and repurchase, rather than relying solely on measuring awareness or single clicks.

Creator Marketing: Brand collaborations with content creators on social platforms to produce materials that appear closer to a trusted personal experience than traditional advertising.
