Gulf Intelligence Group Acquires Egyptian Exchange Engine EGX Alpha

Knowdyn announced the transfer of ownership of the AI engine EGX Alpha and the website EGXResearch.com to an intelligence group active in the Gulf and North Africa regions, in a deal where the acquiring entity withheld its identity and financial terms upon its request.

The website EGXResearch.com allowed the public to continuously view the engine's outputs, publishing post-session classifications and analyses across multiple time horizons based on deep learning, while maintaining an archive of previous models as a publicly available research reference.

Knowdyn noted that the project accelerated faster than expected, transitioning the engine within a few weeks from a research experiment into a fully integrated intelligence technology tracked by markets, before attracting strategic interest and finalizing the acquisition.

September 3, 2026, marks the final daily update for EGXResearch.com under current ownership, while all platform assets are scheduled to be transferred to the acquirer on September 7, 2026, in a journey Knowdyn described as a transformation from a technical challenge to an engine, from an engine to a digital twin, and then to a strategic deal.

What do these terms mean?

Deep Learning: An artificial intelligence approach relying on multi-layer neural networks to extract predictive patterns from data, used here to analyze stock movements on the Egyptian Exchange.

Digital Twin: A digital replica of a real-world market or system that simulates its behavior and enables remote analysis. In this context, EGXResearch.com represents a digital twin of the Egyptian Exchange.

Market Intelligence: The collection and analysis of data to gain a competitive advantage in investment decision-making—an activity where specialized groups invest in funding technologies that grant them deeper insights into market movements.
