Firehawk Defense Raises Over $150 Million at a $1.4 Billion Valuation
Firehawk Defense has raised over $150 million in a Series D funding round at a valuation exceeding $1.4 billion to expand the production of artillery motors and rockets.

Firehawk Defense announced the closing of a Series D funding round exceeding $150 million, bringing the company's total valuation to over $1.4 billion. The round was led by Advent and Rochefort Asset Management, with participation from new and existing investors as well as strategic partners.
The company stated that the new funds will be allocated to expand its solid propellant and motor production facility in Lawton, Oklahoma, and its rocket integration facility in Crawford, Mississippi. It will also help accelerate the production of artillery motors, solid rocket motors, and energetic materials.
Will Edwards, CEO and founder of the company, said that the new funding allows turning a manufacturing breakthrough into reliable production capacity. Firehawk expects to become the largest producer of artillery motors in the United States and the third-largest producer of solid propellant by the end of 2027, producing over 100,000 units next year under an agreement with General Dynamics.
The company relies on a thermal manufacturing process as an alternative to traditional mixing, casting, and curing, claiming it reduces weeks of work down to hours. In August 2026, Firehawk successfully conducted a test firing of Hydra-70 rockets at the Yuma Proving Ground, following an agreement with the U.S. Army to diversify the supply chain for these rockets.
