Brazilian bank Itaú Unibanco has agreed to fully acquire AI company NeoSpace for approximately $589 million in cash, with part paid upon completion of the deal and the remainder deferred over five years, according to La República, citing Reuters.
The deal is subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions.
NeoSpace was founded in 2023 and had worked with Itaú for about two years prior to the agreement, giving the bank an opportunity to integrate a technical team that is already familiar with its internal requirements.
Bloomberg estimated the deal value at around $580 million, or 2.9 billion Brazilian reals, a slight variation from the figure reported by La República.
