Blue Origin Expects New Glenn Launch Pad to Be Ready in December
Blue Origin expects its restored New Glenn launch pad to be ready in the first half of December, paving the way for the rocket's return to flight this year.

Blue Origin expects its restored launch pad for the New Glenn rocket to be ready in the first half of December, supporting the rocket's return to flight this year, according to SpaceNews.
The company reinstalled the vehicle access tower at Launch Complex 36, as part of repair work it is working to complete by December.
Blue Origin has not yet set a confirmed launch date, meaning that the return to flight depends on completing both the pad and the vehicle together.
The move comes after a flight pause, as the company seeks to resume New Glenn flights before the end of 2026. The launch pad and ground infrastructure are an essential requirement for any launch.
What Do These Terms Mean?
Launch pad: The fixed structure on which the rocket is mounted before liftoff, housing fuel, electrical, and control systems.
Vehicle access tower: A tall tower adjacent to the rocket that allows technicians to access the vehicle and payload prior to launch.
Return to flight: The resumption of launches following a pause due to an accident or technical failure, which typically requires completing investigations and repairs.
