Amazon Tests Real-Time Chat Between Sellers and Shoppers
Amazon has added a test option titled Enable Real-Time Chat in Seller Central, without an official announcement or clarification on the affected markets.

A test option titled "Enable Real-Time Chat" appeared in the Buyer Messages section inside Amazon's Seller Central, as reported by the PPC Land platform.
Two independent reports published on the same day indicated that the company is testing the feature in phases, without officially announcing it or publishing documentation in the Help Center.
Amazon has not disclosed the markets included in the test, leaving open questions about how buyers initiate a chat and whether live chats count toward the 24-hour response metric.
It is not yet clear whether the chat option will be available to all sellers or a specific segment, nor whether it will be integrated into the standard communication tools within the center.
What do these terms mean?
Seller Central: A management dashboard used by sellers on Amazon to manage products, orders, messages, and reports.
Beta: An initial version of a new feature released by the company to a limited number of users to test before a broader rollout.
24-Hour Response Metric: An indicator used by Amazon to measure how quickly a seller responds to buyer messages, which affects service evaluation.
